Hi, there! My name is SCOOBY. I’m a Carolina dog mix. If you’re not familiar with Carolina dogs, we’re the original wild dogs of America, genetically related to Australian dingos. (Some people refer to us as American dingos or Dixie dingos.) Pack membership is important to us, so you can’t just leave me alone in the back yard 24/7. I want to be a real part of your family, and I think you’ll find me loyal, gentle and a good companion. I’m somewhere between 18 months and two years old, so I like to play and have lots of energy. I’ll make a great walking or running companion, if that’s what you like to do. I’m told I’m heartworm positive, but I don’t have any clinical signs, so I’m leading a normally active life while getting the “slow kill” treatment. I’m bunking in a foster home right now, but I hope someone will adopt me and give me a fur-ever home as soon as I’m neutered, which is scheduled for May 17. My adoption fee is just $150.
