Oscar is a handsome 3 to 4-year-old dachshund, weighing 14 lbs. Despite having suffered some type of accident (or abuse) that burned and scarred his back, he's friendly, snuggly and kissy and will make a great companion for adults and older children. (We prefer adopters without very young children because dachshunds' long backs can be delicate, and very young children - under 7 years or so - may not be able to properly handle a wiggly dog.) Like many doxies, Oscar has a prey drive that makes him unsuitable for homes with cats or other small pets. He's housebroken, walks on leash and loves to ride in the car. You must have a vet reference to adopt Oscar.
