LITTLE LOVE BUG. If you're looking to raise a dog from the canine equivalent of the toddler stage, NALA may be for you. This little gal was born around mid-October 2013. She's now ready for someone who can spend a lot of time introducing her to new people, places and situations so that she grows into a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. This is the time to start crate-training in preparation for house training, as well. Because she is so young and small, Nala needs an adopter who is either home a lot or a family with staggered schedules, because she needs a bathroom break every 3 to 4 hours, as well as 3 meals a day, lots of attention, handling and socialization. Additionally, we will not adopt a puppy this age to applicants with children under the age of 7. Why? Because both puppies and children require a lot of time and attention. Understandably, the children will usually get the lion's share, possibly to the pup's detriment. Also, younger children are still learning how to interact with animals, and busy parents can’t supervise those interactions 24/7. If you have the time, patience and love to adopt this pup, download our application at www.savethestrays.org and apply today!
