BLIND, BUT NOT HANDICAPPED. MISSY is an affectionate senior cocker who just happens to be blind. But that doesn't stop her from enjoying the back yard, going down stairs or climbing on the couch for a snooze. Missy isn't afraid to explore her surroundings and she's outgoing with people and other dogs. If you have a fenced yard, she'll quickly learn her way around it. If not, she also walks well on leash. Missy loves to roll over and have her tummy rubbed and she'll snuggle in next to you on the couch. She had a complete physical at the end of August, including comprehensive bloodwork, and was found to be in great health. She also had dentistry, so her teeth are nice and clean, and she gets groomed monthly, so she's pretty as a picture. She has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm-negative and on prevention. Please don't let Missy's blindness blind you to her suitability as a companion. Note: Save the Strays Animal Rescue has a "seniors for seniors" program which reduces the adoption fee for senior dogs adopted by senior (60+) people.
