BERTIE is small in size, but big on personality. One of a litter of six (his litter-mates are Chiquita, Ernie, Gabby, Kylie and Martha), this little guy is about 12 weeks old and weighs about 15 lbs. We think he is a mix of Jack Russell and possibly rat terrier. We are looking for adopters who have some time to spend with him at this important stage of his socialization. Ideally, he shouldn't be left alone for more than 4 to 5 hours a day and needs to be held, played with, and introduced to a variety of different people and situations to help him grow into a confident, well-rounded adult. Bertie has had 3 of 4 required puppy (DAPP) vaccinations. He is too young for neutering right now, but our adoption contract does require adopters to have their pups spayed or neutered by six months of age. If you have a good vet reference and the time to give a puppy, Bertie will steal your heart.
