Adopted by Alan and Liz Edwards of Lexington, SC.
CHIQUITA is small in size, but big on personality. This little gal is 9 to 10 weeks old and weighs under 10 lbs. We think she is a mix of chihuahua and one of the smaller terrier breeds - perhaps rat or Manchester terrier ( or possibly min pin). She already likes to run and play with the big dogs and loves to sleep in your lap. (She will sleep in bed with you, if you let her.). We are looking for adopters who have some time to spend with Chiquita at this important stage of her socialization. Ideally, she shouldn't be left alone for more than 4 to 5 hours a day and needs to be held, played with, and introduced to a variety of different people and situations to help her grow into a confident, well-rounded adult. Chiquita has had 3 of her 4 required puppy (DAPP) vaccinations. (She is too young for spaying right now, but our adoption contract does require adopters to have their pups spayed or neutered by six months of age.) Chiquita does fairly well in a crate for a few hours (which is all she can go between potty breaks at this age/stage of physical development). If you have a good vet reference and the time to give a puppy, little Chiquita will steal your heart.
