Like most Shih Tzus, Toto is outgoing and affectionate. All this little guy wants is two good meals a day and lots of love. He will follow you from room to room, sit in your lap for hours and even take a nap with you. Toto is crate-trained and working on house and leash training. He's fully vaccinated, neutered, has been treated for heartworms and now just needs monthly heartworm prevention to keep him heartworm-free.

Although we don't consider him "special needs," Toto does have vision impairment. Nevertheless, he gets around as well as the fully sighted dogs here. He was born with microphthalmia in one eye, meaning the eyeball is smaller and probably only sees light and dark. His other eye is normal in size but has a corneal scar and glaucoma which requires eye drops twice daily to prevent blindness. The drops aren't expensive, and we will provide enough bottles to last at least six months. 

Toto is very people-focused and will soak up every bit of attention and love his adopter can give. He really needs to be an only pet to be his happiest. If you can give Toto the loving home he craves and deserves, please email us for our application. His adoption fee is $150.
