Australian Shepherd / Bernese Mountain Dog / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male (not neutered, but will be before adoption) : : Young : : Medium
FRANKIE is a stunning mix of Australian shepherd and Australian cattle dog/heeler. But because he has double dewclaws on his back legs, we think he also has a dash of Bernese Mountain dog thrown in for good measure. Like his siblings Mindy and Shauna, Frankie was born in mid-April and is now the perfect age for adoption. He’s friendly, playful, outgoing, curious, eager to explore the world and ready to become part of a family. Frankie has received his first three “puppy” (DAPP) vaccinations and monthly doses of heartworm and flea prevention. He’s also been regularly wormed. All he needs now is an adopter who can give him the time and attention he needs to continue his socialization at this important stage of development by introducing him to lots of new people, other animals, places and experiences. This is also a great time to start training him, including potty and crate training. For that reason, we will give preference to applicants who won’t have to leave their pup alone for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time for the next couple of months. Those who work from home, work only part-time, are retired, have a parent or spouse that works different hours from them, or who can take their pup to work with them are all good candidates. If you can give Frankie a good home, please email info@savethestrays.org for our application. Because we are participating in the nationwide Clear the Shelters event, we have reduced his adoption fee to $250. More about FrankieGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Video of Frankie:
