This jaunty fellow is DEKE. Our vet thinks he is a Jack Russell terrier / Chihuahua mix and estimates his age as 3 years. Deke is very friendly and craves human affection, so he’s virtually always at your side. He blended in well with the pack here, but would also be happy as an only dog as long as he has lots of human contact. Deke does pretty well on leash, doesn’t mind being crated and is almost 100% on his house training. At 13 lbs, he’s not too big and not too small! He’s smart, too, so someone who enjoys training dogs could easily teach him tricks. His favorite treat is animal crackers. Deke has no medical issues, is up to date on vaccines and has been neutered.
