Jack Russell Terrier (Parson Russell Terrier) / Beagle / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Senior : : Medium
Did you see the Suburu ad featuring dogs that were deaf, blind, older or missing a leg? As the ad pointed out, they’re still able to love and are just waiting for someone who can look beyond the obvious and love them back. LILY, a 13-year-old Jack Russell/beagle mix, could have been in that ad. She’s not disabled in any way – in fact, she’s quite healthy. But she’s missing some hair, has a lot of skin tags and saggy teats from having been bred too much. You might think she’s a candidate for an ugly dog contest. But "beauty is as beauty does" and, if you spend a few minutes with this sweet senior, you’ll quickly realize what a wonderful companion she is. Outgoing and affectionate, Lily will stay right by your side, lay at your feet or sit next to you on the couch. Her house training is brick-solid, and she’s good on leash. Lily’s up to date on vaccines, has been spayed, tested negative for heartworms and has just had dentistry, so other than monthly heartworm prevention, she doesn’t require anything except a comfy bed, two good meals a day, love and affection. November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Listen to your heart and give sweet Lily the home she deserves. Her adoption fee is just $75.
