ADORABLE LITTLE TRIPOD SEEKS QUIET HOME IN THE COUNTRY. Kip, a 3-year-old Chihuahua, is an amputee, but he doesn't waste any time feeling sorry for himself. He can walk and run almost as well as the other dogs here at Save the Strays. He does need some help with steps but, at only 7 lbs., he's easy to lift. Once he knows you, Kip is cuddly and affectionate and gets along well with most other dogs. He spent a week with an urban adopter but was terrified by city traffic and noise, and did not do well having to walk to a park on leash for potty duties. His fear, in turn, led to some separation anxiety. So we’re only going to adopt him to a home in a rural or, possibly, a quiet suburban environment, with a fenced yard so he can go out off leash for exercise and potty breaks. We’re also looking for a home with another small dog for company when his humans have to be elsewhere, to prevent separation anxiety. If that sounds like you, consider Kip. Adoption fee $200. Email info@savethestrays.org for an application or more information.
