 LOOKING FOR A LAP DOG? Belle, an 11-year-old purebred Shih Tzu, loves hugs, belly rubs and attention of all kinds. She came to Save the Strays after her owner died and has been missing the one-on-one attention she was used to getting. Belle is generally calm and quiet, but always runs to welcomes you home. We think her ideal home would be with someone who is retired or works from home and owns another dog of similar size and temperament, since Belle has enjoyed playing and sleeping with other dogs all her life. A small fenced yard or a short walk around the block for potty duties is all the exercise she needs. Although Belle is a senior, she has been well cared for throughout her life, has recently had an exam, is in good health and up to date on vaccines. We prefer a home without small children. If you’re looking for a smaller dog that will soak up all the love you can give her, consider applying for Belle. Adoption fee $125.
