Meet KEEBLER, a 5 to 6-year-old Pekingese. If you know pekes, you know they can be confident, lively, playful and independent (sometimes stubborn), yet incredibly sensitive, as well as loyal and affectionate if treated well. This is not a dog for children; Keebler will not tolerate rough handling and doesn’t respond well to scolding. But get out a biscuit and he’ll do just about anything you want him to do. Keebler loves toys and plays well with other small dogs, as long as they don’t try to dominate him. He doesn’t like bigger dogs. If you appreciate a dog who thrives on mutual respect, this little elf may be the dog for you. Keebler can go home after he is neutered on July 25.
